Position Overview:
We are looking for an Operations/Manufacturing Head to manage the operations of a leading sweet and confectionery company with over 30 retail outlets in KSA. Your role will involve overseeing the production and supply chain processes, ensuring efficiency, quality control, and optimizing manufacturing operations within food (bakery) industry. This position is part of B4 Strategy Consulting’s team and will be based in Jeddah, reporting to both B4 and the CEO in Jeddah.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the entire manufacturing process, ensuring products are produced on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Oversee supply chain management, including sourcing, procurement, inventory control, and logistics.
Implement and monitor production schedules to meet customer demand and maximize production efficiency.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, quality control standards, and industry best practices.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
Collaborate with the R&D team to introduce new products and improve existing offerings.
Manage and develop the operations team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Report regularly to B4’s team in India and the CEO in Jeddah on operational performance and challenges.
Schedule and run weekly production meetings, to track progress and coordinate efforts.
Managing and guiding the production assistants, training and meeting frequently, setting periodic objectives, and inspiring their personal growth and development.
Other duties not listed herein, but which need to be accomplished to maintain safe and timely day to day operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Catering and Culinary Arts, Operations Management or related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations and manufacturing management within the food industry (3 years in Bakery Management).
Specialized in Bakery Production, sound knowledge to Craft Bakery Products,
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and quality assurance.
Demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing large teams.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
Familiarity with KSA’s regulatory environment and operational practices is a plus.
